Who’s paying for all this?

Well, it would appear that King Midas and his buddy King Solomon have decided to loan the US government all their riches to pay for the Stimulus bill.  Now we’re trying to get in touch with the Sultan of Brunei and the city of El Dorado to cover the budget bill.  Good GRIEF!  Where do these ignorant clowns think all this money is going to come from?  This congress reminds me of a story about a lady who got her first checking account as an adult and couldn’t understand why the bank got mad at her for writing bad checks… turns out she thought that as long as there were checks in the checkbook that she still had money.

I don’t need to ask why, and outrage hardly seems to make any difference,  but who in the media is going to grow a set and ask this idiot president of ours how ‘no earmarks’ turned into ‘9000 earmarks’?  He has now observably and demonstratively completed a task in office that no-one at ABC NBC CBS CNN or MSNBC will ever report.  He is now a proven liar.  First, the stimulus bill was without earmarks.  This has repeatedly been shown in recent days to be a total fallicy.  Now the spending bill has no earmarks.  (Tattoo removal for former gang members isn’t an earmark since it is a constitutionally described role of the federal government)

Lying to the American public is one thing, but to have the arrogance to tell such an OBVIOUS lie and not care what anyone thinks about it is hubris and arrogance on a scale that this country’s founders would have started a war over… wait, they did start a war…

Obama is acting like a king with a parliament full of dutiful subjects that will cater to his every whim.  Not only that, but he deigns to come to the microphone almost daily to call out individual businesses and groups of people for targeting by the American government ‘persecution squad’.  Every time I hear one of these senators at a hearing asking about a private jet or a golden parachute, I wonder about the Cadillac health care plan that they have, and the jets that they use to get back and forth between Washington and their district (ahem, Nancy).  Why don’t THEY start capping their luxury benefits and lifetime pension packages?  Oh yes, the rules don’t apply to them.  I mean, it was only the government – i.e. Barney Frank (as directed by Bill Clinton) that caused all these bad mortgages to be created in the first place.  Community Reinvestment Act anyone?  Why should any of them be held accountable?  Remember, these are the same people that are FORCING banks to take money and then telling them how they have to run their businesses because they took federal funding.

Come to think of it, that kinda sounds like the definition of ‘bullying’ to me.  How do we deal with bullies?  Well, the tried and true method is to punch ‘em in the nose first chance you get and dare ‘em to try it again.  I will certainly be entering the voting booth with a ‘ready fist’ in 2012.   In the meantime, I will resort to the freedom I have in this country to strike back with free speech.  I plan to verbally ‘bloody a few noses’ from now until then.  I hope you enjoy the continuing smackdown.

Man-made global warming is gargbage… reason #76,503,483

Once again, the warmers have been proven wrong by REAL science…  As this article from Bloomberg news noted all the whining about receding arctic sea ice is just that:  whining.  The measurements behind all the hype and chicken-littlesque fearmongering that the global warming crowd LOVE to engage in on a daily basis is wrong… again.

No that this is really news to anyone, it’s actually getting really old.  First we find out that the measurement stations that were used to measure the average temperature were placed in locations that were necessarily hotter than the average ambient air temperature.  Places like hot, tar covered rooftops, the center of parking lots, at the end of runways in jetwash… you know, the regular places to measure air temperature.  Then we find out that the calculations that were being used had a major flaw in the variables which changed the hottest year on record from early this century to somewhere in the 1930’s.  After that,  we experience a cooling period (i.e. right now) in conjunction with a conspicuous LACK of solar flare activity, in conjunction with the fact that the global average temperature has been receding for the past 7 years.

This is, of course completely ignoring the fact that there has yet to be one single shred of conclusive evidence that anything that we do has an effect on the earth’s overall climate.  Carbon has been shown to be highest during ice ages according to core samples from way up north.  Not that carbon is a pollutant, anyway… it feeds trees for crying out loud!!  All this to get back to the point that this whole notion of man-made global warming is a total crock.  Anybody care to argue with me?

Is anyone surprised?

Well, now that the house and senate have signed away our future (since we HAD to take care of this immediately)PresBo has decided to go on a vacation.

Uh, wait.  I thought this had to happen right away

I wonder how many peope have lost their jobs over the weekend… if this is supposed to immediately help the economy, couldn’t the president have waited one more week to go on vacation?  The stink of this is that the bill only needed to get out of congress in a hurry.  If it hasn’t been passed, we can still do something about it…  Now that the only thing between it and us is one socialist and a pen (probably a bunch of pens actually) it doesn’t matter how long he takes.  Sickening.  This bill is a lie to the core, and it is being signed into law by a man who KNOWS that it won’t do anything real for the economy.  By the way, the bill will almost DOUBLE the current national debt and is larger by itself than the GDP of the WHOLE WORLD.  Are you getting this?  If every good or service produced by the whole world in one year were sold to pay down this debt we would still fall short.  Congratulations, America.  We are now nationally bankrupt.  Hope all you Obama fans know how to grow your own vegetables, because in five years time they’re gonna be so expensive that only the ‘evil rich’ can afford them.  To whom are you going to whine then?  Once more, history repeats itself.  Down we go into national poverty, global irrelevance and eventually, tyranny.  Wish I could be happier about it, but facts are facts.  Enjoy the long ride down, and do your family a favor, teach them how to take care of themselves.  Their own  goverment has shown that it doesn’t care about them anyway.

So now we have this story coming out about the government porkwad bill…

Nancy’s off to Rome, so we have to put the future of the WHOLE NATION in to fast forward so that she can catch her flight.  I try to refrain from using foul language in my discussion of politics but this is trying my patience.  This woman needs a reality check in the worst way.  I don’t give one sweet damn WHAT she has waiting in Rome… this is the future of my nation and she made a promise that every bill would be open to view for 48 hours prior to a vote.  Not that we didn’t know it already, but it would appear that we have a LIAR in the speaker’s seat.  It’s just not convenient for her, so screw the rest of us.  I swear… if I had the money to get there, I would go stand in front of her plane for 48 hours.  Hold on a minute… doesn’t she have a private jet anyway?  Why the heck can’t she just take that… oh yeah, she’d have to stop once or twice to get there…  the hubris is astounding.  Perhaps the Pope will give a sermon on PRIDE and avarice.

These actions, and the actions of the democrats in the house and senate in reference to this bill border on the criminal.  They have taken our money, lied about its purpose and done their level best to make sure that it gets signed into law before we can ever see what the hell they are actually doing.  She and the rest of the liars under the dome can rest assured.  I don’t forget and I like to make sure that everyone remembers things like this.  Pride comes before a fall.  The next election is only 2 years away.  Ride high while you can, Queen Bee… the electoral smackdown is coming.

Update from article on the  Kansas City Star.com :

“There is plenty to complain about for everyone, and perhaps that’s the sign of a good compromise,” said U.S. Rep. Emanuel Cleaver, a Missouri Democrat. “Regardless of party, we all cast our votes with one hand and crossed our fingers with the other.”

How the hell does this make sense?  We’re passing a bill that we don’t know what’s in it!!!!  How is this representation?  This is a total LACK of representation on the part of most of the people who are elected to represent the US citizenry.  Every senator and congressman should vote NO, just so that we have time to see what’s in this bill!  This is LUDICROUS!!!  Who wrote the bill?  Who’s special interests got stuffed in?  Why is my representative on Youtube showing me HANDWRITTEN ammendments and modifications to the bill??!  (I thank him for doing it, by the way!) More than 1000 pages?  This is a crap tamale rolled up in a lie.

Presto, You’re Dead.

Much like a corpse in the summer sun, the Barack Obama “Stimulus Bill” is starting to smell more and more rotten as it sits in the light of the day.  All last week and the beginning of this one, it was impressed upon us by PresBO that this bill must be passed NOW! If we don’t, the world will collapse.  Horsecrap as usual from a democrat mouth.  Now we are beginning to find out why…

Turns out that the longer this bill is exposed to the American public, the more socialist garbage we find stuffed inside.  Now it is being reported that there is to be a federal system to oversee your doctor and to “guide” him or her how to best treat you.  Uh, last I checked, my representative IS a doctor and voted no on this bill.

A quote taken from Bloomberg news article dated Feb 9th by Betsy McCaughey:

…National Coordinator of Health Information Technology, will monitor treatments to make sure your doctor is doing what the federal government deems appropriate and cost effective. The goal is to reduce costs and “guide” your doctor’s decisions (442, 446). These provisions in the stimulus bill are virtually identical to what Daschle prescribed in his 2008 book, “Critical: What We Can Do About the Health-Care Crisis.” According to Daschle, doctors have to give up autonomy and “learn to operate less like solo practitioners.”…

I am imagining a system whereby some mid-level, minimally qualified govermnment union worker sits at a desk in an overpriced building under the buzz of the sterile, mind-numbing energy saving light bulbs with a big manual of spreadsheets.  It will be his or her job to look at what you have had done recently, how old you are and then look across the spreadsheet to the corresponding “no” column.  THAT will be your doctor’s guidance.  Knee replacement?  Hell no, you’re 65.  That would be a waste of money.  What?  You want treatment for your emphesema?  But you’re 80.  You’ll be dead in 5 years anyway.  We’re gonna save the money for the indigent mothers of 6 that want to have 8 more kids.  They’re the ones that REALLY need it anyway, right?

I don’t think that there is anyone with one ounce of sense in their head that actually believes that this will improve the healthcare system of this nation.  The driving force is power people.  If you own someone’s healthcare, you own the person.  Now I’m not going to go as far as to say that people could or would be deprived medical attention based on their politcal views (although it’s a thought provoking scenario for a short story) but imagine the campaign slogans for years to come:  Democrats- Protecting your free health care since 2009!  … or perhaps… Vote Republican and your personal health care costs will skyrocket!

Are you getting the picture now?  They’ve been doing this for years with Medicare and Medicaid!  Now look at what has happened to the geriatric voting block… sorry, old folks.  We got what we want, now we’re throwing you to the wolves.  You don’t need all the healthcare you’re getting because you’re old and you’ll be dead soon anyway.  Just deal with it.

You have been betrayed.  Next up, the rest of us.  Starting with the stupid.  Oh, wait.  That’s already happened.  They thought that they were going to get their mortgages paid and their cars filled with gas because they voted Obama.  Well, ‘Change’ is here and ‘Change’ couldn’t care less about you idiots.  Go watch American Idol.  We’ll contact you when we need your votes again.  You’ll have forgotten about this by then anyway…

Ask yourself why this was stuck in the middle of a ’stimulus bill’ that is 700+ pages long.  Why not shout this from the rooftops?  Isn’t this a democrat Utopian idea?  This is a platform issue for them!  Really, if this is so popular, it should be a stand-alone signature item for PresBO.

If this bill passes, health care is going to suffer horrendously and they know it. You had better call your congressmen and senators to ask why they aren’t crucifying this bill openly on every tv channel and the floor of the house and  senate.  This is a covert government power grab and it is a LIE.  Stand up and fight it or suffer the tyranny.

You have your orders.

Now or Never? I’ll take Never, thanks…with a side of ’stop lying’.

So Barack says that it’s now or never on the bailout?         Horsecrap.  That’s what they said about the first one.  It was “We have to act this week or the economy will collapse!”  (Um, it didn’t)  Then it was… “We have to act this week or the economy will collapse!”  (yeah, two weeks in a row no less).  Again, no total collapse, no riots, no nation-wide mass economic system failures.  So here we are again:   Now, or catastrophe.  I beg to differ, it’s “Catastrophe or not”.  This ’stimulus’ bill is a total scam.  Tell me how rebuilding libraries is going to do ANYTHING for the economy…  The craziest part is that Prez O says that there aren’t any earmarks in the bill.  THE WHOLE DANG THING IS AN EARMARK!!!!!  Infrastructure?  How about a tax cut?  I don’t give one sweet rats rear how nice the roads look if I DON’T HAVE A JOB TO DRIVE TO!!!!!!  FDR did this before and it FAILED miserably.  Let’s try the other option, shall we?  By the way, the real reason that this HAS to happen is that the American public (even the ones that don’t pay attention) are starting to hear about what’s actually IN this bill.  That’s why public support of the bill has dropped a few points in the last week.  Even the liberal mouths are talking about it openly…  This bill MUST die in the senate.  I don’t want my great grandkids paying off a tab so big that it can’t ever be repaid.

By the way, divide 1 trillion by 31,557,600… that gives you the number of years that it would take to pay off the stimulus at the rate of one dollar per second.  Don’t want to do the math?  Here’s the answer:  31,688.08 years.  Yes, that’s right, 32 THOUSAND years.  Now, does this still sound like a good idea?  How is it that these idiots that get elected to lead our nation get to make decisions on how much we spend using numbers that are so large that they may as well be theoretical?  This goes beyond fiscal policy.  This is insanity.  I intend to write my senators a very terse letter about this.  How about you?

Justice Ginsburg out?

I think we can all agree that Justice Ruth Bader-Ginsburg was going to resign during Barack’s term, lest she be replaced by yet another conservative justice on the court, but today’s news that she has been diagnosed with and treated for pancreatic cancer may certainly hurry along that process. Pancreatic cancer is a very deadly form of the disease, and almost always fatal within 5 years. I think I can speak for all of us here at H&B when I say that we sincerely wish her all the best for a full and speedy recovery.
Ginsberg has been one of the court’s most vocal and liberal judges, writing and reading the dissent against the court’s decision on the legality of partial birth abortion. I can’t understand why ANYONE, even supporters of free, on-demand abortion for convenience sake would support such a grisly and horrible procedure, but she put her liberal views before common respect for life and said that it was a conservative effort to ‘chip away at a woman’s right to choose’. (Instead of a liberal’s effort to chip away at a baby’s skull and suck their brains out…) I actually heard a detailed description of the process today on an audio book I had borrowed and it almost made me wretch on my keyboard as I worked.
I don’t expect that she will be replaced with anyone other than a screaming left wing female justice (the lefties wouldn’t allow anything else) and Barack will certainly oblige them. You see, THIS is really where elections count. If McCain is Prez, the court is totally changed for a good twenty years. Now it will remain much the same as it has. Again, I’m certainly NOT glad that she has cancer, that would make me an absolute jerk. Do I want her ideology off the court? You betcha. Best wishes, Justice G, but you’re still wrong.

strike-out-plate-4

Richardson, Daschle and Killefer.   Well, that’s call strike three for Prez O. Does he even vet these people before he puts them up for cabinet level positions? Ok, Killefer was only to be “Chief Performance Officer”, but she still can’t seem to pay her taxes…  A better question for the prez is this: Why are all the people that you are choosing turning out to be sleezebags and tax cheats? I have to admit that I am licking my chops for interesting morsels on the rest of his… well, can we call it a cabinet? It’s missing three major components due to ‘rotten wood’. I guess it’s his “shelf” at this point. Obama’s been in there for less than a month and already he has signed an executive order that defies a logical supreme court opinion, appointed three tax cheats, allowed three former lobbyists in his administation (which he said wouldn’t happen), and made a former first lady who has been investigated for having  FBI files hidden in the private quarters of the White House his Secretary of State. This is like the front end of an ethics seminar… you know, the part where they show a video of a “broken” system to the audience. Off the blocks with a mighty stumble! (It would have been a false start if he hadn’t kept his mouth shut on foreign affairs prior to his inauguration.) Let’s see how he fares down the stretch. Frankly, it looks like a typical Clinton-style administration without the brain at the top. Obama will NEVER be able to ‘feel anyone’s pain’ or ask what the definition of ‘is’ is. He can keep this up if he wants to, but it will result in another crippled democrat administration that barely limps up to the next election. Here’s to hoping.
